The Clybourn is an event venue that features a renovated 1900’s historic building in downtown Milwaukee sitting on the campus of Marquette University. Located in the Near West Side of downtown Milwaukee just north of the Milwaukee Public Market and to the west of Lake Michigan, you will find a modern setting mixed with elegant vintage features that will make your wedding or event stand out against others.

The clybourn was where we had our wedding reception. Owners were amazing, so easy to get into contact with and ask questions to. They also are very flexible and allow you to bring in whoever you want to cater or other vendors. They also allow you to stock your own bar and just pay a bartending fee, which saves us SO much money. This way we didn’t need to buy specific, expensive bar packages from a vendor. How do you even begin to start explaining just how wonderful a venue and their owner is? Wow. Wow. Wow. That's all my husband and I can say. We wanted a completely tailored-to-us wedding where we would have freedom to really let our personalities shine. Clai, The Clybourn, and his team were absolutely incredible from the beginning and throughout our planning process to support us really pulling that dream off. The industrial look of the room mixed with the modern lighting elements and the big huge windows lining the front of the space really just allowed the outdoors to come in. The light shined through so gorgeously during our vows. Being able to see the city lights at night really gave us that city vibe we were looking for without having to be right downtown. Clai allowed all our requested vendors, there were no vendors that were off limits. His team was extremely thorough with the final walk through, we felt like I had all the information we needed right up front, and if we had any questions, they were answered within a couple days, which in wedding world, is basically 2 minutes. There were a couple hiccups throughout the day - totally out of everyone's control, (it was me totally me forgetting to do something lol!!) but there were a team of people there on wedding day willing and ready to help us with anything and that truly just made me feel so secure and less stressed. We danced the night away, had the absolute best bartender provided by The Clybourn, we got nothing but compliments on Devonte all night long. We talk about our wedding almost every other day. We loved every moment and we are so happy that we get to look back and say we really got everything we could have ever wanted.
